With over 12 years of experience in the mental health field, I have worked with individuals, couples, and groups. Although I personalize services for each person, I primarily use Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help people pursue what they care about most, even in the face of pain and struggle. You can learn more about this approach from my self-help website here: https://www.helpwithact.com/. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
I have worked with many different types of people and have a big heart for those who have experienced depression, anxiety, trauma and problem gambling. I have developed clinical teaching tools and provided trainings for other professional counselors on several topics, including ethics, problem gambling, and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy. In my free time I enjoy traveling, reading with a good cup of coffee or tea, listening to music, hiking and cycling with my wife, playing tennis and volleyball, and spending time with my many nieces and nephews (17 and counting!).
